Wow, it’s been a very long time since my last post here. Well, anyway I just re-activated my old blog on tumblr.com because I’m getting bored of my blogger.com blog and my blog on multiply. Well, yes, it’s easy for me to get bored to things.
Anyway, I’m going to try posting some serious stuff in this blog. Started from a post about Susan Boyle! (Which part of Susan Boyle is a serious part?).
Since the first time Susan Boyle’s appearance on TV in “Britain’s Got Award” program, she has surprised us. And, at the end of the competition, she made me shock again! So, what’s the surprise she gave in the final??? Let’s see!
But, first of all, I’d like to remind you about the first surprise she gave in the audition of “Britain’s Got Talent”. Like what you see in my post: “Don’t Judge a Book By It’s Cover”, Susan Boyle, a silly-looked 48 years old woman, a volunteer for a church choir, unpredictably hypnotized the whole audience with her golden voice in the audition for “Britain’s Got Talent”. Even Simon Cowell couldn’t say a word after hearing her astonishing voice (and if you had watched the video on youtube, you could see Simon’s face was totally surprised. He just could raised his eyebrows in the first line of the song I Dreamed A Dream sung by Susan, and in the next lines he smiled). The judges were totally agree that her voice was incredible.
They said:
Piers Morgan:
“Without a doubt, that was the biggest surprise I’ve had had in 3 years.”
“That was stunning, an incredible performance”
Amanda Holden:
“I just want to say that it was the complete privilege listening to that.”
Simon Cowell:
“Susan, I knew in the minute you walk out on that stage that we’re gonna hear something extraordinary and I was right.”
And after that, along this season of Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle became everyone’s favorite (include me). With her silly look but in other side, she has a miraculous voice. If Britain’s Got Talent had a quick count like the president election, I think the quick count would show that Susan Boyle would become the winner.
But, guess what??? (OK, guys, are you prepared enough to see the next surprise???)
Yesterday, I was updating my twitter and I found an update from New York Time: “Susan Boyle on the Second Place”. I clicked the link that linked me to newyorktimes.com to read the news. And that’s true, peeps. The diversity, a dance group won the competition. And Susan Boyle had to be sincere to stay on number two.
No way!
How could I believe that???? In fact, It wasn’t me the only person on earth that couldn’t believe Susan Boyle didn’t win the competition. But, most people shocked when they knew it.
Some people analyzed Susan’s lost is because most of them already confidence that She’s gonna win, they thought anybody else already voted for her because everybody loves her, so they didn’t vote for her. And that what most people did. Thought others vote was enough to support Susan Boyle.
Hmph, it wasn’t what I was expected. But, anyway, congratulation for Diversity! And Boyle, can’t wait for your first solo album 🙂
I think the result of the vote says something about popular election and democracy that is not often faced. It was so obvious that the better singer came in second. For more, pls see http://euandus3.wordpress.com/2009/12/17/susan-boyle-hurt-by-democracy/
don’t you think it usually happen?
the best got number 2. 😦
