Susan Boyle: Surprisingly Amazing

I was checking up some updates in MWI forum and I found a thread titled “Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover”.

At first, I didn’t really care about the thread. Until finally I got bored with other topic and I (finally) opened the thread. In that thread, there’s a youtube link. I read the thread and its replies. I became curious because the replies showed that the video is interesting.

And, I decided to click the link, waited the buffering process, and played it.

The first time, I just saw a 47 years old woman interviewed in the backstage of Britains Got Talent 2009. Next, she came on stage and she was asked by Simon. She answered the question clumsily. Everyone was laughing at her. And I could see from their face that they underestimated her. To be honest, I was just a little bit unsure and wondered why I watched this video. Maybe it would be another clumsy-and-unimportant video.

But, after some silly interview and her clumsy answers. She was pleased to sing.

The music played. She took a deep breath. And…. She sang a song “I dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables.

Since the first phrase of the song she stole everyone’s hearts!!!!!! Her voice is AMAZING!! Felt like she sang from her heart! I even got goose bump! Everyone gave her standing ovations. Until the end of the song.

WOW! In the 7 minutes video, she taught us 1 things:

Don’t judge a book by its cover
